Christina Hendricks, the actress playing Joan Holloway Harris in "Mad Men", bought a New York City Apartment for $1.16M, together with her actor-husband, Geoffrey Arend, reports Variety.

The 810-square-foot Midtown Manhattan condo unit contains a bedroom that comes with a walk-in closet and one bathroom. The blog describes the unit as a pre-war apartment with a proper foyer accented with terra cotta flooring, a living room and dining area complex adorned with wooden flooring, an upgraded and organized kitchen and a home office that can dual as a study area.

Other architectural details of the home include a decorative fireplace and arched alcoves. The building has amenities too for the unit owners like a club room, staff assistance at the lobbies, a package room, a library, rooftop terraces, game room, music room and a spacious central tea garden.

Saying Goodbye to "Mad Men"

"Mad Men" will bid goodbye after seven seasons to its loyal fans this May 17, and Hendricks confessed to Los Angeles Confidential that she doesn't know how she would feel while watching the last episode of the series she stars.

"I don't know. I don't think I've said goodbye. As I watch the last episode, maybe that will happen. It's a very weird sensation. I just always have taken it for granted. Like, I still get to go back in six months and play her again. But not this time."

Hendricks also confessed that she was hesitant to be a part of another series right after "Mad Men".

"I was scared to do another series. I knew I wanted to do another series if I found the right one, but I thought, How am I ever going to find something that I'm going to be this excited about?"

Hendricks, as Herself

For those who knew Hendricks personally, she is actually different from her character she plays, "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner said in an interview.

"She is extremely honest about her opinions, but what it really is, is she's so self-effacing. There's just none of the ego or grandiosity that Joan has-you just don't get it with her. She's kind of a homebody and watches reality TV and reads books, but -- I hate to say it -- she's one of us. She's just like a regular person... but she plays Superman during the day."
