Country meets R&B -- the American Idol returning judge Keith Urban is reportedly eager to collaborate with the "Sure Thing" singer.

The duo recently performed their unique version of Bill Wither's classic "Ain't No Sunshine" at this year's "Grammy Nominations Concert Live" back in December. Keith Urban said that he really enjoyed the duet with the R&B sensation, Miguel.

"I loved playing with Miguel tonight," he said after the successful performance. "It was really, really cool getting to do that with him. I hope we get to do something else."

Miguel apparently felt the same way as the Grammy award-winning country singer, and further the pair's musical collaboration.

"Keith is honestly, hands-down, probably the coolest guy I've got to work with, especially on a collaborative," said the R&B singer. "Keith, can we make some music? This is the official request and I'm doing it on television."

Urban also explained that he and Miguel methodically chose to keep their cover of the popular song straightforward.

"We purposefully tried to take it to a slightly minimal place," he said. "And it's tricky because it's a song that has been covered a gazillion times by everybody, and we just tried to make it our own tonight."

Keith Urban will be busy with a new season of American Idol. He will be joined by a new panelist Harry Connick, Jr. and fellow returning judge Jennifer Lopez. The upcoming two-night season premiere of American Idol Season 13: The Search For A Superstar is scheduled to air on Wed., Jan. 15 and Thurs., Jan. 16 at 8/7c on Fox.
