Former Anaheim Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin is parting with his California home.

The 35-year-old National Hockey League (NHL) player is selling his Tustin estate for $3.5 million, reported Realtor.com. The athlete, who played nine seasons with the Ducks, commissioned realtor Jeff Jones of Re/Max Orange County East to handle the listing.

The listing described the property as a "must see" and a "spectacular estate." The 5,400-square-foot residence of the Canadian hockey star features six large bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, including not just one, but two spacious master suites. Other living spaces of the dwelling place are a formal entry, a family room, a living room with soaring ceilings, a formal dining room, a home office, a laundry room, a den, and a four-car garage.

The kitchen will grant any chef's desire as it comes with several features like granite counters, walk-in-pantry, and a breakfast bar. The listing also included the cooking station's appliances like the 6-burner stove, a dishwasher, a double oven, a garbage disposal, a microwave and a refrigerator.

The master suite, on the other hand, is a comfortable place to relax and is convenient, too. The suite displays a walk-in closet, a fireplace, a private access to a balcony, a luxury master bathroom with a spa-like soaking tub and Jack & Jill toilets.

Interior details of the home showcase French doors, custom built-in cabinets, floors lined with wood or travertine tiles with granite, and custom drapes and blinds.

Outdoors, the Southern California home features an expansive yard with a swimming pool equipped with a spa. There's also a sheltered patio made more cozy with a fireplace. A barbecue grilling area with a dining counter is also ready for a small gathering among friends.

The next owners who have children may like that this home is just a stone's throw away from respected schools, noted the listing.

A new team in Denver

Hockey players know well why Beauchemin is selling his home in California. With his recent three-year contract worth $13.5 million with the Colorado Avalanche, as reported by Denver Post, he may be looking for a home in Denver soon.

The Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic has welcomed the veteran hockey player into their team.

"We've addressed what we feel are our needs. We got leadership, we got toughness, guys that play a full 200-foot game" Sakic said in a conference call, as quoted by the Denver outlet.

The Canadian player posted 23 points last season while on ice at an average of 22:44 per game in his 64 games with the Ducks last year, noted NHL.com.
