"Seriously?"

Apparently, that was the reply of the world's highest-paid and arguably most popular soccer player to an Australian model after she reportedly turned down the superstar's suggestive advances.

Real Madrid was recently crowned International Champions Cup winners in Australia. This was part of their 2015-16 pre-season tour. It was a refreshing time for the Los Blancos since they got to meet up with their fans down under.

As expected, there was no hotter commodity than CR7. His name resonates globally and throngs of fans gather wherever he is. For any casual fan to have a chance to meet and greet with him, one must have immense luck or beauty.

The latter was the case for a former Australian beauty queen. The catch was it was her lover who was a big Ronaldo fan, not her.

According to Mirror, model Aline Lima had messaged Ronaldo on Instagram to know if the two-time Ballon d'Or recipient had read her boyfriend's fan mail and if the superstar would be kind enough to meet her lover in person.

She was fortunate to have received a reply from soccer's most bankable player yet it was not the kind of cordial response she envisioned.

"Yes, beautiful. But it is difficult. I do not want to know man. I want to meet you," was Ronaldo's response. The striker then forwarded, "Can I have a photo when you are in the gym?"

The 22-year old Brazilian-born beauty stressed that her boyfriend, Alex, would not be too pleased if she would do so. This prompted the Portuguese's rhetorical question.

He then reportedly guaranteed her that he would not be sending it to anyone, but Lima was to have none of Ronaldo's WhatsApp antics. Perhaps, in a last ditch effort to score, Ronaldo offered her free seats in Madrid's match against Manchester City at MCG, added the Mirror.

Lima has since been getting flak online as several social media users see her as an "attention seeker." She addressed these issues on her Instagram account.

"I would never do something like this for publicity, if i want to get famous I'll do it by my hard work and not with a story like this," Lima posted.

She added that it was her boyfriend who publicized the issue after he was hit by a double whammy. He was not only distraught about knowing his lifelong idol did not care about him but he was also furious about his now ex-idol's apparent lack of courtesy towards his girlfriend.

Ronaldo's camp has remained mum on the issue.

Lima isn't the only Oceania belle Ronaldo is checking out while he is in Australia.

Daily Mail reported that the football star has also been stalking Australian actress Margot Robbie's Instagram account. His liking binge went back to pictures of Robbie from March of last year.
