Another odd figure has been spotted on Mars, and it comes from a reputable source -- NASA's Curiosity Rover captured an image of what looks like a woman standing on Mars.

The alien-watching website UFO Sightings Daily is excited about the image, Fox6 Now reports, saying it looks like a woman who is "partly cloaked."

Social media users are calling the woman "Dark Lady" and are trying to analyze exactly what they are looking at.

A video has also been posted that tries to explain the image of "Dark Lady" and whether she is actually standing on Mars' surface. The video shows what looks like a cave entrance to a place for "Dark Lady" to live in, the Inquistr reports.

People on Twitter are insisting that the image is definitely a woman. The image casts a shadow and on the chest of the shadow are what appears to be breasts.

The rest of the image has woman-like characteristics as well. A head, two arms which are lighter than the cloak she appears to be wearing, a flesh-colored chest and long hair can be seen by Twitter users.

Social media users say that the image is proof that there is indeed life on Mars and other planets.

The image of "Dark Lady" comes just a few days after an image of a "space crab" creature was also photographed by NASA's Curiosity Rover.

These images have been called aliens, spiders or even just rock formations. The images might be playing tricks with the minds of those who see them.

Seth Shostak, a senior astronomer at the Center for SETI Research, told Huffington Post via email that the images people are seeing are simply misconceptions. He said that people are seeing things and their brains are making them think that they are really seeing something alien-like. He said:

"Those that send them to me are generally quite excited, as they claim that these frequently resemble SOMETHING you wouldn't expect to find on the rusty, dusty surface of the Red Planet.

"It's usually some sort of animal, but occasionally even weirder objects such as automobile parts. Maybe they think there are cars on Mars."
