UFC Interim Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor was on a media tour to promote "The Ultimate Fighter 22," as reported by SB Nation. He said that he's already planning to jump in the lightweight division after beating UFC Featherweight champion José Aldo at UFC 194 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Notorious" said that after unifying the featherweight titles, he will accomplish all his goals at 145 pounds and would go after the lightweight belt.

"I feel I want Jose to show up, I'm going to retire Jose and end his career, and then I'm done what I've said I would do. I said I would kill the featherweight division. There's nobody left," the Irishman said as quoted by MMA Junkie.

McGregor and Aldo are both undefeated in the UFC and will headline UFC 194 for the Unified Featherweight championship. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 189, but Aldo pulled out due to an injury. Chad "Money" Mendes stepped up to fight McGregor for the interim belt but was stopped in the second round after dominating the first.

Mendes said that his second-round TKO loss was due to lack of preparation time as he was only a late replacement for Aldo, as reported by MMA Junkie. McGregor is not impressed and took a shot at Mendes, saying, "Chad can say it's cardio, but me and Chad know better," he told the news outlet.

Mendes added, "But I can't blame Chad for making an excuse. He went from making $48,000 to show and $48,000 to win, to $500,000 flat. Why wouldn't he want an opportunity like that again?"

"Money" is set to fight former lightweight champion Frankie "The Answer" Edgar at The Ultimate Fighter 22 finale on Dec. 22. Edgar challenged McGregor after his UFC 189 win according to FOX Sports.

The interim champ also has some thoughts on "The Answer" as quoted by MMA Junkie, "If Frankie was to put on a phenomenal performance and stop Chad, then I could probably say alright, let's answer the Frankie question, let's shut him down real quick. But in my mind, I'm thinking unify and destroy."

McGregor is probably the most popular UFC fighter after Ronda Rousey and is looking to become the third fighter to win titles in different divisions after B.J. Penn and Randy Couture.

"I'm going to unify the belts and destroy the division and then I'm going to go up and take the lightweight division, as well. So that's where I'm headed right now," McGregor said.
