In 2010, Bungie was able to finish the last installment of their "Halo" series, which was the "Halo: Reach" intended for Xbox 360. Now, with Xbox One capitalizing on their backwards compatibility feature, they are planning on taking in "Halo: Reach" in their lineup.

According to Gamespot, Xbox executive Phil Spencer expressed his approval of the plans, saying "I'd like to see it come via backwards compatibility" on his Twitter account.

"Halo: Reach" may not have made it to the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" primarily because it doesn't feature the Master Chief as character, but it has absolutely made one of Halo's favorite installments.

Fans, however, can't help but ask if it will ever make it to the collection to which Spencer implied that it maybe just included in the backwards compatibility feature.

Microsoft executive producer Dan Ayoub's statement in 2014 seemed to back up what Phil Spencer has openly expressed, saying, "I think enough people have asked about it, that we are thinking about it." This was Ayoub's statement when asked about the possibility of "Halo: Reach" coming into Xbox One in the future.

"Halo 3: ODST," despite not having the Master Chief in its series, was also included in "The Master Chief Collection" primarily to give justice to the gritty and rather troubled launching of the "Halo" series.

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, despite considering "Halo: Reach" in Xbox's backwards compatibility feature, fans will probably not be rewarded with a revamped game, instead a mere integration of the game from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

Disappointing as it may seem, fans look forward to Reach getting at least 1080p and 60fps upon integration. Unlike "Halo: The Masterchief Collection," every single Halo series included were all re-mastered to give the fans a new gaming experience for the series. Getting "Halo: Reach" into Xbox's backwards compatibility shouldn't be hard as Microsoft itself is the publisher of the said game.

Meanwhile, Xbox executive Phil Spencer said that at the moment, the team is concentrating on the upcoming launch of their backwards compatibility feature and admits that he's quite satisfied with the lineup that they have come up with.

In his statement, he said, "I've seen the lineup of games coming to launch and in the months ahead; good list."

If you're wondering what other games made to list, "Mass Effect," "Gears of War," "Shadow Complex," "Kameo," "Defense Grid: The Awakening" and many more are also included. Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature, however, is only available to active Preview Program members.
