A mini Samsung Galaxy S6 might be in the works, though there has been no official confirmation yet.

A listing for the Galaxy S6 Mini has been spotted on the GFXBench website. The phone is being referred to as the Samsung SM-W2016 on the site, Tech Radar reports.

Samsung usually releases a mini version with each generation of its flagship smartphones. While the company has not yet done so this generation, this listing could be the mini version of the Galaxy S6.

The listing shows a smartphone with a 4.6-inch display with a 1,280 x 768 resolution. This is a pretty low resolution, but the phone would include the same Exynos 7420 processor that is inside the Galaxy S6.

Initial reports for the Galaxy S6 Mini indicated the smartphone would only offer 2GB of RAM, but the GFXBench listing shows 3GB of RAM instead.

The listing also shows an internal storage amount of 64GB, which seems high. This might refer to an upgraded Galaxy S6 Mini, with the entry-level model starting out with a more standard 32GB of storage.

The cameras on the Galaxy S6 Mini are reported to be 16 megapixels (MP) on the rear and 5 MP on the front. The rear-facing camera would have autofocus, face detection, a flash, HDR photos and touch focus, according to the listing. Videos taken from the rear facing camera would be 1080p.

The mini version of the Galaxy S6 looks to have the same sensors that the full-sized Galaxy S6 has, like the barometer and accelerometer. Nearfield Communication technology (NFC) will also be included, so that the phone can support Samsung Pay.

With a smaller screen, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini would likely be much less than the full-sized Samsung Galaxy S6. Hopefully, this phone isn't just a prototype and an official announcement comes soon.
