The tension is escalating on "Grey's Anatomy," as Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and new doctor Penny (Samantha Sloyan) seem to be butting heads in the upcoming episode, which will air on Thursday, Nov. 12.

In Episode 7, titled "Something Against You," things get heated between Meredith and Penny, while Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) returns to the realm of dating, according to CarterMatt.

Callie (Sara Ramirez), who has also started dating again, is trying to make her relationship with Penny work, while Meredith still holds a grudge since Penny was responsible for Derek's death last season.

In the video promo for the forthcoming episode, Penny tells Meredith she doesn't want their work together in the hospital to be awkward.

Meredith responds, "Well, then don't make it awkward."

After Penny is then seen getting berated by Meredith, she appears quite stressed. In the end of the clip, Meredith is seen yelling at Penny to "get out" as she's performing a surgery.

Arizona, Callie's ex, throws herself back in the dating pool with a new wingman in this episode. This will hopefully lift Arizona's spirits by giving her some confidence and make it easier for her to handle seeing Callie and Penny at the hospital.

In another development, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) tries to convince Ben (Jason George) to kick out their new roommate. Bailey and Ben's relationship on the show has been touch and go for a while now, but George's character has been promoted to a series regular, which is a good sign their relationship is solid, at least for the time being.

Stars in this season of "Grey's Anatomy" include Pompeo as Meredith, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Ramirez as Callie Torres, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Capshaw as Arizona Robbins, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery, Sarah Drew as April Kepner, Caterina Scorsone as Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as Lo Wilson, Jerrika Hinton as Stephanie Edwards, Kelly McCreary as Maggie Pierce and George as Ben Warren.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs on ABC on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
