Islamic State sub-group threatened to launch Paris-style attacks in Washington D.C. and other ally countries that continue launching airstrikes in Syria's de-facto capital.

According to a Washington Post report, the video released Monday featured militants celebrating the Paris attacks and it was reportedly made by Wilayat Kirkuk, an ISIS sub-group based in Salahuddin, a province in north of Baghdad, Iraq.

The terrorist group is known to release propaganda videos that vary in quality. Earlier, ISIS is famed to be adept in technical editing skills.

However, this latest one is akin to previous ISIS videos that lack theatrics and high-quality editing. To date, the video's authenticity has yet to be verified.

The 11-minute threat video started with some news coverage clips of the Paris attacks that killed at least 129 people, then cuts into a militant identified to be Al Ghareeb the Algerian as he warns U.S., specifically its stronghold center and its ally countries.

"We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France's and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington," the militant threatened.

New York Daily News shares that the group has also issued a warning for other European countries and prepare for more attacks since they have grown to be unstoppable and "much stronger than before."

Amid threats to the U.S. capital, Capitol Police has elevated security on Capitol Hill. Washington D.C. amped up its security measures as well.

"The Metropolitan Police Department is working collaboratively with local and federal law enforcement and homeland security agencies to ensure the security of Washington, DC.," D.C. police said in a statement. "We will continue to monitor intelligence reports and work with our federal partners to authenticate and determine the credibility of this new threat. MPD will maintain a proactive posture in response to the tragic events in Paris and the recent threats against our city. Additionally, our resource deployment and staffing have been enhanced."

The new propaganda video came a day after France sent airstrikes to Syria as revenge for the previous attacks. On Sunday, the French government launched its heaviest airstrikes and dropped a total of 20 bombs in Syria, a Mirror report says.

Utilizing 10 fighter jets, France's retaliation devastated jihadi training camps and ammunition camps situated in Raqqa--ISIS' headquarters where the Paris attacks were planned.
