Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and boxing great Muhammad Ali's daughter and retired fighter Laila Ali commented on Ronda Rousey's defeat to Holly Holm in Melbourne, Australia on Nov. 14 at UFC 193.

Rousey failed to defend her Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight title for the seventh time against Holm, a former world boxing champion, The Guardian reported. It was a big upset as Rousey was reportedly confident that Holm would not be able to take her down. However, Holm was able to stop the clock in the second round with 59 seconds remaining, making her the new UFC bantamweight titleholder.

Mayweather, who lost the best fighter accolade at the ESPY Awards to Rousey in July, per New York Post, had interesting statements for Rousey to ponder on. "The Money" shared his comments on Rousey's loss on David Mayo of MLive.com.

"Just in boxing period, contact sports period, you win some, you lose some," Mayweather said.

Mayweather also denied his involvement on 50 Cent's post about Rousey. His friend rapper captioned his Instagram post with "LMAO FLOYD TOLD ME TO POST THIS, he want me to do the dirty work," indicating the boxer may or may not have a part with this.

Yet, "The Money" maintained that he is not behind this social media post, which openly mocks Rousey, FightHype notes. Mayweather stated that he has nothing against MMA fighters as it is just like boxing, where a warrior may lose or win some. He even left some positive words for Rousey.

"A true champion can take a loss and bounce back," Mayweather explains.

On the other hand, Laila is very vocal about criticizing Rousey, per a TMZ Sports report.

"In order to be the best in your world, you definitely don't ever get beat up like that in your prime, period," Laila said.

Laila even thinks that if Rousey is given the chance to redeem herself of that astounding loss, she will not be able to do it.

"I don't think she should have a rematch with Holly Holm because I think it would go the same way the second time. Probably worse," Laila predicted.

On Holm, Laila only had nice words for her, even saying that she was not surprised that she won against the more favored Rousey. Laila shared that she knew Holm to be a very gifted boxer with knowledge on the mixed martial arts.

"She didn't shock me. Of course not. I'm familiar with Holly Holm...hopefully ... she'll get the exposure she needs to take her career to the next level," Laila said.

Can Rousey avenge her loss in a rematch?
