Chvrches have released the music video for their new track "Empty Threat."

The Scottish electronic band recently unveiled the new video, which is out before the track's actual release on Dec. 11, according to NME.

The single "Empty Threat" is featured on the band's sophomore album, "Every Open Eye."

The music video presents a group of suburban high school goths who take a trip to a water park in Florida. They are seen getting drunk, riding water slides and just enjoying each other's company on the sunny day. This depiction of goth culture somewhat goes against the normal stereotype, which usually portrays them as grim and downcast.

The members of Chvrches do not make appearances in the video, providing only the music for the clip.

Band member Iain cook discussed how the track was put together and how the group wanted it to be different from past offerings, while staying true to the group's signature style.

"Whenever we work on a new song, it's of paramount importance that we find the right balance between the various elements in the track and instrumentation. Whether it's the tension between brighter melodies and darker lyrics, or sparking synths and gritty production, it's a signature of what we do. We worked hard to get the right combination of those things for Empty Threat, and in the end we managed to find the sweet spot that captures the essence of Chvrches," he said.

Chvrches released their second studio album, "Every Open Eye," on Sept. 25, 2015. The album has already produced the singles "Leave a Trace," "Never Ending Circles," "Clearest Blue" and "Empty Threat." This album is the follow-up to the band's 2013 debut album, "The Bones of What You Believe," which produced several singles, including "The Mother We Share" and "Recover."
