WWE Diva Lana has not appeared on WWE television since suffering an injury while training. She was in a love storyline involving real-life fiancée Rusev, Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae before being sidelined and announcing her engagement via TMZ Sports that got her and his future husband backstage heat from WWE officials.

Rusev dropped down from the main card following his loss to John Cena and got stuck jobbing guys like Ziggler and Ryback. According to The Wrestling Observer via 411 Mania, the WWE creative team and Vince McMahon were not pleased due to the couple not maintaining their characters and storyline in public.

Lana has not been punished as she is recovering from a broken wrist, but according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, there is "nuclear heat" on "The Ravishing Russian," per What Culture. The heat reportedly got worse when she posted several personal attacks on Paige via Twitter last week.

She accused Paige of being a bully, but several WWE Divas and former NXT creative assistant Rob Naylor defended the former NXT Women's and WWE Divas champion. The reported also notes that fans may never see Lana again on television, but she is currently training at the WWE Performance Center.

Back in April, The Wrestling Observer via Wrestling Inc. reported that Vince McMahon was very high on Lana and had plans on pushing her up in the Divas card. She was even considered as the leading candidate to become the female face of the company once she turned babyface.

The reported plan was to reveal her true nationality as an American and change her name to CJ because her real name is Catherine Jo Perry. WWE's idea of the character is based on Pamela Anderson in Baywatch as a hot blonde.

Eva Marie seems to be the beneficiary of Lana's heat as The Wrestling Observer via eWrestling News reports that WWE is currently high on the redheaded diva. She is currently training hard in NXT and has improved dramatically in the past year.
