Sinead O'Connor has attempted suicide, opening up in an intense message on Facebook that points blame to her family for pushing her to the brink.

A report from Breaking News revealed that the singer has now been found, "safe and sound" and has received medical care. No other specifics have been revealed by the police.

According to her post on the social media website, the musician took an overdose of pills after revealing having to endure months of pain and "a horrific set of betrayals" from people around her. O'Connor claimed the "appalling cruelty" has been going on since her hysterectomy last Aug. 26.

"There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear," she wrote on her Facebook page, much to the dismay of the fans. "What was done to me this week was appalling cruelty. By my husband, my family, by St Pats and by An Gardai Siochana, by my son, Jake and by Donal Lunny and Angela singleton, by my son's girlfriend, his friends."

The singer continued that her "babies" were kept away from her by family members including her son, and an overdose is the only way to get respect. While she didn't specify her exact location, O'Connor stressed that she's not at her house, but in a hotel in Ireland.

The renowned singer also revealed that she's not in touch with most of her family members, claiming they wouldn't even be aware she's dead "if I wasn't f*****g informing them now." Included in the apparent suicide note was a plea to her current husband Barry Herridge to tell the truth about the reason for her death, which she claimed will not be revealed by the rest of the family.

She went on, "My children don't care if I live or die anyway. Neither do their dads. Everyone is better off. Never ever do this to a woman again."

O'Connor has been undergoing a turbulent few months after her hysterectomy and the depression that followed afterwards, a separate report from Breaking News in Ireland revealed. The suicide attempt comes after the singer has announced on Facebook that she's withdrawing from the music business, saying, "Music is over for me. Music did this. It rendered me invisible. Murdered my soul. I'm never going back to music."

Later, she adds that she is open to odd jobs and a new residence as she leaves her old life behind.

"I don't need anything other than one warm room, and not to be living in a silent empty house. I'm good at writing," O'Connor wrote. "I'm also a great cleaner. I'm not a job snob. Happy to clean toilets. Have hard work ethic. I love people. I wanna socialise."
