Former champion Nonito Donaire is motivated to win against World Boxing Organization International super bantamweight titleholder Cesar Juarez.

"The Filipino Flash" is set to clash with the younger Mexican boxer on Dec. 11 at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico, per BoxRec.

The 33-year-old former champion is training hard to prepare his mind and body against the 24-year-old fighter, PhilBoxing reports.

The Talibon, Bohol-born warrior told the site that he is "doing really excellently" in his sparring sessions with two partners who are also relentless as well. These boxers make him stronger and ready for his upcoming battle.

"I feel great, my mental aspect is on a different level and helps me prepare for this fight. Its amazing," Donaire said.

"This is the hardest I have trained for a fight . I am more committed and have direction in my training [compared to other training sessions in the past]," the California resident said.

Even his father and trainer Dodong noted how his son and fighter has improved so much.

"Nonito is doing good. The training camp has been better than all the previous ones beginning with the first fight against [Vic] Darchinyan," the older Donaire said.

The coach also confirmed that his young sparring partners Fidel Navarette, 24, and Fred Bowen, 27, "push him to the limit" which his son favors because he is really motivated to score a victory.

The older Donaire also observed that Nonito is able to land his punched "very accurately," Boxing Scene informed.

Aside from his trainer and sparring partners, Donaire also found a supporter in his friend and WBO super lightweight king Terence Crawford. He posted on Facebook an image of Crawford and him in a gym while he was training. He shared on Twitter that the Omaha, Nebraska native dropped by to watch him train and even gave him words of wisdom to help him prepare for his much-anticipated bout.

It is not surprising that Nonito is giving his best in training. Emerging triumphant against Juarez will reportedly give him a shot at the victor of the World Boxing Association champ Scott Quigg vs. International Boxing Federation titleholder Carl Frampton.

Nonito came out of a second round stoppage victory against Anthony Settoul in July at the Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort in Macao, per BoxRec.

Can "The Filipino Flash" match the same impressive performance he showed in July to beat Juarez?
