The OnePlus 2 is finally being made available to anyone that wants one.

Starting Saturday, the smartphone will be available without an invite.

OnePlus has used an invite-only system to offer its flagship smartphones, but now the OnePlus 2 is going invite-free for an unlimited time period, PC Mag reports.

"The invite system has been crucial to letting us scale our operations and has given our fans a unique way to share OnePlus with the people in their lives. But we are always trying to enhance the OnePlus experience for you and taking risks to push ourselves and show real improvements. That's why we're making the OnePlus 2 invite-free ... forever," OnePlus said in a forum post.

The OnePlus One started the unique invite-only process from OnePlus. Customers who wanted the affordable and powerful smartphone had to request an invite from OnePlus and they were hard to come by.

Customers complained about the invite system and OnePlus promised to make more invites available for the OnePlus 2. OnePlus ran a few invite-free flash promotions, but now they are getting rid of invites completely for the OnePlus 2.

"That's right; you'll never again need an invite to purchase the OnePlus 2. We're proud to be able to make the OnePlus 2 invite-free so soon and hope this will make getting your very own OnePlus 2 a cheerfully easy experience," OnePlus said in the forum post.

OnePlus is not getting rid of the invite system completely. The OnePlus X is still on the invite-only system, but this weekend only it will be available without an invite.

"We will be keeping the invitation system for the foreseeable future. In order to get a OnePlus X, you will need to be invited by another OnePlus device owner or by participating in our contests and promotions. Follow us for the most up-to-date information," the OnePlus website says.

Another way to get a OnePlus X invite is by purchasing a OnePlus iPhone 6 case from OnePlus website. OnePlus created the iPhone cases to show iPhone owners what OnePlus phones feel like.

OnePlus' website says orders made by this Sunday should arrive in time for the holidays.
