The PlayStation VR is set to debut in 2016. To tease fans on what to expect from the virtual reality headset, Sony recently shared eight new compatible games during its second annual PlayStation Experience community event in San Francisco over the weekend.

The title that most people were clamoring about is "Rez Infinite." It's a reworked, virtual reality version of "Rez" for PlayStation 4. This time, it will be released in three computer-generated dimensions. Its demo video elicited cheers from the audience due to its crisp colors and consistent 60 fps visuals, amid the game's fast-paced graphics.

"Golem" is the first gaming project of Highwire Games. Players take on the role of golems, which are creatures that can be as big as buildings or small enough to hide under a bed. The game's teaser was purely cinematic and the developer was even modest to admit the game was still "in development for PlayStation VR."

"Job Simulator" will be available on PlayStation VR, Oculus VR and Steam VR. It's a low-textured game that aims to entertain rather than amaze. TechTimes reported that players are dropped into a robot-infested world where nostalgic humans get to relive the glory days of their jobs.

Speaking of robots, "100 Ft. Robot Golf" is everything its name implies. Gigantic robots roam the city streets in search for the next tee. Golf balls are whacked from insane starting points such as the Himalayas and outer space.

"Eagle Flight" gives players a pair of wings and set them loose in a particular area. Its teaser video showed the bird hovering around Paris, complete with Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. The use of eagles coupled with the musical arrangement hints at an "Assassin's Creed" tie-in. However, Ubisoft didn't mention any connection between its big-name franchise and the upcoming PlayStation VR game.

"Ace Combat 7" may turn out to be the best-looking title out of the bunch, basing from its trailer. This still remains to be proven though since the game is an experiment project from Bandai Namco.

"Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin" is set after the events of 2005's "Psychonauts" but before the events of "Psychonauts 2." Players control Psychonauts protagonist Raz as he goes out on a rescue mission to save Truman Zanotto, per DailyStar.

"The Modern Zombie Taxi Co." is a low-textured game that has players drive brain-eating zombies to their desired destinations, but players have to do it the right way in order to prevent zany complications.

"Tekken 7" was reportedly confirmed to be compatible with PlayStation VR. Read full story here.

Sony's virtual reality headset will launch early next year and would compete against Facebook's Oculus Rift, the HTC Vive for PC based on Steam VR and Microsoft's HoloLens. For more on the HoloLens, click here.
