The Expendables 3 official movie trailer finally arrived on Thursday this week.

After much speculation and a teaser trailer that came out in previous weeks, the movie-going audiencenow knows more details surrounding the star-powered cast, and story.

Let's start with the star-powered cast. Some critics are calling the trailer an "All Star Roll Call." The usual cast members are returning with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Jet Li, Terry Crews, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Huffington Post reported.

The new additions are Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Kelsey Grammer, Kellan Lutz, Olympian Ronda Rousey, stunt performer and actor Glen Powell, and boxer Victor Ortiz, along with Meryl Streep... just kidding, Streep is not going to be in it. There Streep rumors, however, that she will be in movie's spin-off, The Expendabelles, which is about a group of female mercenaries.

The Expendables 3 is marketed as "One last Ride," which sounds intriguing, exciting and a little confusing. Is this going to be the last Expendables movie? Some critics doubt that, as this particular franchise is still lucrative, and it can expand.

Forbes reported that the first Expendables made $103 million domestically, and $274 million worldwide. Its sequel made $88 million domestically, and $305 million worldwide. Perhaps, the third film will surpass the sequel.

The Expendables 3 storyline will center around Stallone and Gibson's characters. Stallone's Barney comes face-to-face with an old friend and long-thought-dead enemy, Gibson's Conrad Stonebanks. Along with Barney, Stonebanks was the original co-founder of the Expendables team.

But Stonebanks went rogue to become an international arms dealer that Barney ultimately put down, or so he thought. Now, Stonebanks is back, and he wants to destroy the Expendables once and for all, the Den of Geek reported.

The Expendables 3 is expected to open in theaters on August 15th 2014.
