"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actor Brett Dalton talks about the alien Inhuman inhabiting his character Grant Ward.

In "Maveth," the 10th episode and winter finale of the series, Ward's death may have shocked his fans after Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) used his robotic arm to crush his chest and kill him, per Comic Book. However, moments later, the alien residing inside Will's human body traveled and went inside Ward's instead. Thus, although Ward is killed off in the series. He will continue as the host for the powerful Inhuman, which Gideon Malick (Powers Boothe) was aiming to transport from the other side.

Ward tells IGN that this creature from the planet "Maveth" will be very different from his human character and he is excited that he will get to do a lot of various attacks in this new character, whom he fondly calls "Ward 2.0."

"Ward had this past, he had this drive. Revenge was a really big driving force for him. Getting even, settling scores, all that was a really big motivation for Ward, and this particular creature I don't think is driven by the same things. He has access to all of the thoughts and memories of all of the hosts that he's occupied in the past, and we see that -- I'm not giving away anything -- we see that in episode 10. He's able to convince Fitz that he's Will no problem, and he has at least a knowledge of all the stuff that's happened in the past," Dalton explains.

Dalton adds that the Inhuman's "collective memory" dates back hundreds of years, making him a master of emotion, which Ward is not. Thus, the creature will not be overpowered by human feelings like revenge, rather, he would want to really rise above all humankind. The 32-year-old actor also said that viewers should expect some "regalness" in the way he thinks and acts, after all, he was once adored by the civilization found in Maveth.

In a separate article, IGN suggested that Dalton's stay in "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." may now be nearing an end, especially if Coulson's team already resolved this special case about the blue planet's creature controlling Ward.

However, Dalton seemed confident that his character, "Ward 2.0," may still grace the screen for a long time, which means, he may still not say goodbye to his beloved followers. He is hopeful that he will continue on the series especially the producers had already lots of chances to "take this into a different direction or perhaps even end the storyline, and they didn't."

Watch out for "Ward 2.0" when the series returns in spring.
