BlackBerry owners have something to look forward to now that the updates for some of its features are finally available on the Google Play Store.

According to PhoneArena, the BlackBerry update apparently came after the unlocked and AT&T versions of the BlackBerry PRIV received the said updates ahead of time. The new update that has been released for the BlackBerry line mainly fixes bugs as well as some enhancement to improve the stability of the device. It also aims to improve the camera, keyboard and launcher on the device.

For the camera update, the BlackBerry device is said to be able to support widescreen pictures and has significantly added the indicator for HDR and low-light scenes. The keyboard, on the other hand, has enabled the virtual QWERTY to include Ukrainian and Belarusian languages. These are just the two languages added from the 20 languages that are already present on the device. The addition of emojis, though not as important as fixes on the OS itself, has added some sort of fun within the update. The physical keyboard's cursor has also been revamped and made even more sensitive to motion.

The security update that is brought by the latest improvement has been for the BlackBerry launcher as well as the BlackBerry camera. The security app called DTEK has been responsible in providing the user the option to either turn on all notifications for every single app that is installed or choose to turn it only for some apps. A larger version of the DTEK security app is also expected to launch on the BlackBerry PRIV soon. If you're a WhatsApp user, you will notice that the update has also included the WhatsApp's notifications in the Hub.

What's even more interesting is that these updates are now all available on the Google Play Store and all you have to do is download and install it. The AT&T version of the update may take a while before it can be implemented to their consumers; this is because they need to test first the updates before distributing them. The unlocked version, however, can deliberately take on the update once BlackBerry releases one.

Have you tried the latest update on the BlackBerry PRIV? What changes have you noticed from BlackBerry since they started using the Android OS?
