Rosie Rivera, sister of the late Jenni Rivera, recently discussed the famous singer's plan to secure her children's futures amidst financial struggles, just months before she died in 2012.

According to TVyNovelas, Rosie Rivera revealed that, in 2010 and 2011, Jenni Rivera had financial difficulties with taxes.

"The accountant at the time, from a lack of organization, wasn't doing it right," she said. "Later Jenni hired another group of lawyers and accountants and they took charge of everything. With the years it started to fix itself, we didn't owe anything, but certain expenses were not verified and ready."

Rosie Rivera, who according to Billboard is releasing her own memoir, also revealed how she became the person left in charge of her sister's estate and younger children.

In 2012, "La Diva de la Banda" was advised by her team of lawyers and accountants to create a will and began to prepare one. When she died later that year, she already had everything organized.

"It wasn't because Jenni sensed her death or was scared," Rosie Rivera said. "She started to plan this in May or June and later in July she asked me if I wanted to be her executor and I told her 'OK,' and I didn't think about it. Now I think, 'Oh, my God. What were both of us thinking?'"

Rosie Rivera also revealed that her niece, Jacqui Rivera Campos, has also been doing her part in making sure that the foundation her famous mother began, called the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation, continues to fulfill its purpose.

After Jenni Rivera died, Rivera Campos told her aunt that she wanted to help with the foundation. Rosie Rivera, who was left with control, named Rivera Compos the foundation's president.

Rosie Rivera is still involved and serves as the foundation's treasurer, and her brother Juan Rivera serves as the vice president.

Rosie Rivera also revealed that the family is slowly healing, and that includes rekindling with her brother Lupillo Rivera, who she and most of the Rivera family have been estranged from since Jenni Rivera's death.

According to Latin Times, Lupillo did not approve of a lot of the publicity the family allowed after his sister's death, particularly the "I Love Jenni" reality show. He also took his late sibling's side when she accused daughter Chiquis Rivera of betraying her.

However, Rosie Rivera revealed that her brother invited her over for Thanksgiving dinner, and they have begun the process of rekindling their relationship.

"It had been a long time that I hadn't celebrated with him, but I was happy to carry out that reunion. I lived a beautiful moment with my brother, my sister-in-law and my nephews," she added.
