Marvel Studios released a new trailer for its highly anticipated forthcoming superhero movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, where Chris Pratt flaunts his ripped body, while Zoe Saldana reveals her dangerous side.

The visual opens with Pratt's character Star-Lord (Peter Quill's alter ego) entering a dark temple, where a mysterious orb floats on an altar. After opening a device on the ground that captures the orb, he is confronted by armed guards, who order him to drop the orb. "Cool, man. No problem. No problem at all," the 34-year-old actor says, playing his role.

The guards then ask him for his identity, however they do not recognize him. "Star-Lord, man. The legendary outlaw," he says in a comical way, before running away with the orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.

The trailer also features Saldana as green-skinned fighter Gamora. The 35-year-old actress shows off her dangerous side by swinging a large sword in battle scenes, where Dave Bautista's character Drax the Destroyer appears, as well.

Star-Lord teams up with Gamora, Drax, gun-toting raccoon Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), and tree-like robot Groot (played by Vin Diesel) -- forming the entire Guardians of the Galaxy. At the end of the trailer, all five of them are shown in a line-up scene that also features John C. Reilly as intergalactic police officer Rhomann Dey, with catchy tune "Hooked On a Feeling" being played in the background.

Guardians of the Galaxy hit theaters on Aug. 1.
