ABC's Once Upon a Time is now in its third season of putting spins on classic fairy tales and Disney trademarks. Now, for the first time, the show may try its hand at a 3D animated hit.

Recently, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Once Upon a Time creators and producers, told E! News that their writing room is basically an homage to the record breaking, Oscar-winning 2013 film Frozen.

"We would be completely honored if Kristen Bell or Idina Menzel wanted to do our show," Kitsis said.

Bell and Menzel were the lead voices in the film, voicing sisters Anna and Elsa, respectively. The chances of seeing a Frozen character in Once Upon a Time may not be too small. Bell has expressed extreme interest in reprising the role.

"That would be unbelievable," she said when asked about a possible Once Upon a Time appearance. "I love that character of Anna so much. She's so exactly who I wanted to see when I was 5 years old so she's really close in my heart."

Although Bell is far from being signed as a cast member, the interest in combining the two worlds is so big that something like a one episode appearance is less than farfetched. In fact, this is not the first time Kitsis and Horowitz have talked about bringing Frozen characters to their fairy tale drama.

"Obviously we'd be dying to do Frozen. We would love to [incorporate] Merida," Kitsis told D23 in March. "...Whether we get to them or not, characters like Anna, Elsa and Merida feel like they could be slotted in...Elsa would be fantastic for us."

If all else fails, Horowitz and Kitsis have some other Disney characters in mind.

"...and then there's favorites of ours like Mr. Toad [from The Princess and the Frog]," Kitsis added. "We haven't figured it out yet, but we love Mr. Toad. ... We still haven't done Aladdin and Jasmine."

"We mentioned before that we love Cruella De Vil," Horowitz added.
