Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed her list of dos and don'ts in her detox diet plan for 2016. The Hollywood actress assures that her plan is a successful method to reduce the bulge coming from the holiday season.

Paltrow said her 2016 detox meal plan is not about starvation but eating healthily. Her plan is reportedly simply a method of cleaning up the palate after last year's festive meals. Taking to her lifestyle website Goop, Paltrow encouraged the non-consumption of caffeine, gluten, soy, alcohol, dairy and red meat, to name a few, to achieve a successful detox. Her meal plan also does not advertise added sugar, corn, shellfish, nightshades such as peppers, potatoes and eggplants, and white rice.

"Once you get through the first few days of caffeine withdrawal (some people might experience dry heaving -- if this is you, see Dr. Junger's piece on adrenal fatigue), sticking to the meal plan won't make you feel like you're depriving yourself of anything. If you can't cook, it's easy to make a clean meal at any salad bar: Focus on whole veggies, lean proteins, and a dressing like olive oil and lemon," she wrote on her website about her 2016 detox meal plan.

However, she discourages too much excessive or heavy exercise. Yoga and walking will do. With any detox diet, the key is supposedly to lose the excess body water. The most efficient way, she said, is to get an infrared sauna. This reportedly gets rid of the toxins from the body faster than doing regular gym exercises.

Paltrow's detox diet also involves the common advice for any dieters, which is to drink plenty of water. The 43-year-old actress also suggests getting a colonic, a process that involves having a section of the intestine pumped in and out with warm water to clean the colon.

The actress, who has appeared in several blockbuster Hollywood films, listed down her detox meal plan which include fruit and vegetable smoothies, chia pudding, Kimchi & Grilled Chicken Nori Wrap, Chicken Paillard with Zucchini Noodles and a cup of Surya Spa Detox Tea, to name a few. Gwyneth revealed some of the delicious recipes in her detox meal plan were given to her from friends at an Ayurvedic spa in Los Angeles called "Surya."

Paltrow's healthy and clean methods to lose weight have already been proven by her friend and hairstylist David Babaii. He lost 135 pounds and credited the actress as his "life coach," according to E! News.
