In an incident that could have been easily passed on, Jennifer Lawrence's quip on Juan Pablo Fernandez - Feo, an editorial manager at Latin American E! , received backlash over its lack on empathy for the journalist.

According to Remezcla, during a press conference, Fernandez-Feo asked the "Joy" actress a question while looking down on his phone when she interrupted him saying, "You can't live your whole life behind your phone, bro, you can't do that. You have to live in the now."

Apologetic and willing to go back to his question, Fernandez-Feo then asked the actress on how she sees herself at the Oscars. Clearly, he made a mistake as it was the Golden Globe Awards, but that didn't stop the actress from throwing quirky answers to the journalist.

She rewarded him with an answer saying, "We're at the Golden Globes. If you put your phone down, you'd know." While there may seem to be some misunderstanding on that point, Jennifer Lawrence who went on to throw in some harsh answers to the journalist, didn't quite sit well with viewers.

There is actually two sides to the question: either Fernandez-Feo is nervous about the whole interview that he actually said Oscars when he meant Golden Globes or that Jennifer Lawrence didn't let him finish when he actually meant to ask how the actress feels about the upcoming Oscars after winning a Golden Globe award. Although most people inside the room laugh at her answer, the journalist clearly felt the other way around. At one point, it was told that he wasn't really comfortable asking the question without actually looking at his phone for some translation.

Twitter users went on to address their sentiment over her rude approach to the journalist. One user said, "Jennifer Lawrence mocks a reporter for not being native English speaker. Fixed it for you."

Another Twitter user also said, "Jennifer Lawrence calling out that reporter was not 'Quirky.' It was rude and entitled and embarrassed someone who is just trying to do his job." A note from Lanessa Marquee on Twitter also said, "Jennifer Lawrence practically bullying a nervous reporter with broken English in front of his peers isn't funny."

Fernandez-Feo took to Facebook his sentiment saying that Jennifer Lawrence must be having her period that's why. He eventually deleted the post and changed it to some sort of a subtle understanding on the situation saying, he must have caught her at a bad time.
