Windows 10 may be the talk of the tech world when it comes to operating system, but Microsoft has been a bit slow in rolling out their mobile Windows 10 updates.

According to GSM Arena, the Lumia 640 is scheduled to receive its first update from Microsoft, and those units acquired from T-Mobile Poland will get a first-hand of the update.

Said to carry its software build number 02177.00000.15184.36002 from T-Mobile, users can expect the new update to also be available in other countries as well. For those who wish to try the update, but are not in the region where it is available, according to GSM Arena, they can still get the beta version of the update through their Insider Program.

Just recently, Windows Central reported that the Insider Program of Microsoft, which allows users to try the beta version of the software, has already been out. The version 1.3.233.2 of the update is said to be already available in the Store. This new version has been an improvement of an older one under the update 1.3.231.4.

The update did not record any changelog, which means that there will be no new features from the software. Instead, enhancements and quick fixes will make up most of the said update. Windows Central also disclosed the beta version to be mandatory, saying that if you try to launch the older version of Windows 10, it will give you a message that requires you to update to the new version.

According to another post from Windows Central, some of the features expected to be updated on version 1.3.233.2 include the display of Windows OS version instead of the typical phone build version on the screen. Some provisioning deadlock issue has also been resolved by the new update. Lastly, the leave program will bring the phone back to its production build.

Since the update is said to be available on the Lumia 640, don't be surprised if your Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL will not be covered by the latest firmware from Microsoft yet. The website reveals that this is an odd bug that allows users to have the latest OS but will not be receiving any update on the latest firmware from Microsoft. In order to receive one, they suggest hard-resetting your phone to remove the Insider track and make way for the new update to come in.

The latest update on Windows 10 is expected to launch in other regions soon after it rolls out the update to T-Mobile users in Poland.
