On Feb. 16, the PlayStation 4 platform is scheduled to receive the psychedelic horror game "Layers of Fear" from developer Bloober Team. GameSpot reports that the Victorian game is "madness-engulfed" and it will revolve around providing striking dark concepts that will slowly reveal the true identity of the player.

"Layers of Fears" is currently available on PC and Xbox One priced at $13. For PC players, you can get "Layers of Fears" on Steam Early Access and Xbox One through its Game Preview program. The absence of alpha program on the PlayStation 4 platform deems the game either an in-game development or probably a finished game that you can play throughout and instantly.

In a post by Rafal Basaj on the PlayStation Blog EU, he said "It was a ton of work, and we found ourselves playing our own mind games, discussing how family, work and tragedy have affected our own lives. I guess you could say creating 'Layers of Fear' has been cathartic for us."

According to the PlayStation Blog, the story concept of "Layers of Fear" lets you discover more interesting stories as you progress the game. Materials such as photos, wall scribbles, notes and personal items will let you wonder the real struggles of the main character.

The creation of the story has also revolved on the horrific notion of self-sanity and the struggles of losing a grip on reality. This is what the horror concept of this psychedelic game is all about. Psychological interference such as obsession, madness and tragedy becomes part of the player's inability to move forward and questions his sanity.

The primary works made on "Layers of Fears" includes developing the works of art seen in the game. Hiring professionals with MA degree in Art helped the developer add out-of-this-world art pieces about murder as well as religious arts to make the game's concept even darker.

"Layers of Fears" plays on the minds of the gamers, gauging their ability to come out sane of a rather confusing entrapment. Also, the game does not limit itself to the horrors of enemies chasing the character or the typical jump-scare that basically sums up a scary concept. "Layers of Fears" creates something that also stimulates the characters mind and its ability to stay strong amid grueling challenges.
