Christian Grey is coming to Mexican theaters, and Cristián de la Fuente would not object to being cast in the role.

Producer Sergio Mayer is bringing E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" to the stage, and de la Fuenta has expressed his interest in being the leading man.

"Yes, I'd have to see the dates," he said, according to TV Y Novelas. "It'd be a great project. We'd have to see if it's possible."

He also has no problems with stripping down.

"Yes because, from what I know, you'll be able to see silhouettes through curtains," he said. "It's going to be treated in a very subtle way, very beautiful, with images and video and with a good standard of production."

He has been working on a movie called "Enamorándome de Abril," which is about to wrap up filming.

It was only at the beginning of the month that Mayer announced he planned to bring "Fifty Shades of Grey" to Mexico.

"I'm sure that the Mexican public is ready to see shows of this level," he said. "We'd apply computer technology to make the backdrops and to transport you to another place, and there would be various videos."

Mayer added that the nudity wouldn't be so outright because imagination is part of erotcism.

No one has been confirmed yet, but Ariadne Díaz was the supposed frontrunner for Anastasia Steele and Ferdinando Valencia was thought of for Christian Grey.

Díaz was excited after hearing that the show was going to Mexico.

"I didn't know they would do the play here," she said. "It would be amazing. Right now I'm in the show 'El Color de la Pasion' and if time allows it, I am open to projects that come and are cool."
