What do you get when you put Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine together in string bikinis battling against an extreme militant Christian sect?

You get "Spring Breakers 2."

The movie that redefined the meaning of a truly epic spring break is coming back with a sequel titled, "Spring Breakers: The Second Coming."

According to Screen Daily, the sequel will focus on the Spring Breakers' "...battle with an extreme militant Christian sect that attempts to convert them."

Hmmm...well that's quite a unique plot to say the least.

Don't expect to see the film's director and writer Harmony Korine behind the second movie though. This time around, "Spring Breaker's 2" will be produced by Paris-based sales and production powerhouse Wild Bunch. The sequel will be written by Scottish writer Irvine Welsh and will be directed by Jonus Akerlund.

As for the original star-studded cast? Well, we will just have to wait and see who signs on to be apart of part two and who doesn't.

"It's not a direct sequel although there are allusions to some of the characters in the original," said Wild Bunch's Vincent Maraval to Screen Daily. He also added that there will be a mix of new and old cast in the production.

One member of the "old cast" who seems interested in the possibility of a "Spring Breakers 2" is none other than James Franco who played the infamous rapper/character, Alien in the original movie.

"They've asked me if I'm interested," Franco told MTV in a recent interview. "I don't know. It's really just talk."

He added, "...when we were making the movie, there was talk of a prequel. My character and Gucci Mane's character were supposed to have been former friends, so we at one time talked about, ‘What was that like? Let's make that movie!' So there's that. There's a prequel version, or there's the version of Alien's friend or something. I don't know."

Though much is still unknown about the movie's plot and cast members, what is known is that the movie has plans to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Looks like "Spring Breakers" fans will just have to wait until the official release to see how the whole movie turns out.
