On June 5, 52 beauty queens will compete for the Miss USA 2016 crown at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The show, hosted by Julianne Hough and Terrence Jenkins, will feature backstage access courtesy of model Ashley Graham and performances by Chris Young and Backstreet Boys.

Every year there is usually a batch of Latinas who represent their home state, but this year the number of Latinas who will be competing is very low.

Only two beauty queens will be representing Latino heritage as they compete for a shot at representing the United States as Miss USA and later go for the Miss Universe crown.

Part Ecuadorian and part Lebanese, the 20-year-old model is the daughter of a former musician and a beauty queen who represented West Virginia in the Miss USA competition in 1989.

She became a spokesperson for the National Eating Disorder Association after suffering from Anorexia herself and hopes to inspire with her story.

Mejia also hopes to open her own restaurant someday, inspired by her Latin-American and Mediterranean culture.

Miss Texas: Daniella Rodriguez

At 19, Rodriguez is one of the youngest contestants. She hopes to become a teacher and currently studies Texas A&M International University.

The studious hopeful wants to get a Masters in School Counseling once she graduates from college. However, her dream job has nothing to do with teaching.

Instead, she dreams of becoming a successful actress and already has some experience under her belt, which includes acting camp and appearing in independent films.
