Michael Phelps has long been renowned for his unstoppable performance in the pool, as he's already built one of the most illustrious Olympic careers in sports history. All those accomplishments were temporarily forgotten when onlookers caught a glimpse of the world-class swimmer at this year's ESPY awards.

Namely, Phelps generated attention with who he brought to the annual celebration of achievements in sports. On his arm was another big name in the sporting world, Win McMurry. McMurry is famous for her coverage of all things golf, serving as one of the premier reporters in the sport.

"She was named Golf's No. 1 Beauty by Sports Illustrated's GOLF Magazine and has won two Telley Awards for her work as a producer, writer, host of groundbreaking online content for the PGA Tour," notes her personal website.

McMurry and Phelps had been rumored to be getting closer up to this point, but they had still yet to make a public showing as a couple. That all changed on Wednesday, as the duo was inseparable all night long at the awards ceremony.

"It's the first red-carpet outing for the couple, who've been rumored to have gotten quite cozy with each other but have never publicly confirmed the hookup. Their appearance at the ESPYs, however, may have been just that," reports E! Online.

If the relationship truly is a go, Phelps and McMurry would instantly become one of the sporting world's royal couples. Save for perhaps Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn, there is not another sports couple out there that has as much drawing power as these two.

Phelps' credentials have been well-established for some time. He has already won a record-setting 18 Olympic gold medals. For that, Phelps won Best Record-Breaking Performance at the ESPYs this year.

McMurry is no lightweight either, however. On top of winning multiple awards for her work in the golf world, she also comes with a laundry list of credentials. McMurry has worked for both CBS, the Golf Channel and the PGA, creating numerous hit shows and webcasts during her career.
