The Saturday, July 9, 2016 Powerball drawing is set to hit at least $288 million after there were no grand prize winners in the July 6, $257 million game. Make sure to comeback to this page at 11:00 p.m. ET to learn what the winning numbers are. The results will be posted in real time.

The winning numbers in last Wednesday's game were 2, 24, 31, 57 and 62. The winning Red Powerball number was 18 and the Power Play number was 3.

Two Players win $1 Million

Two players matched all five white ball numbers in the July 6 game, earning prizes of $1 million each. The winning tickets were sold in California and West Virginia. Overall, there were just over one million winners of at least $4 each

Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26) Tickets cost $2 each.

Winning Ticket Purchased in Indiana in $540 Million Mega Millions Game

Meanwhile, lottery officials report one player matched all the winning numbers in the Friday, July 8, Mega Millions game, earning the estimated jackpot of $540 million. The winning numbers were 8, 19, 20, 55 and 73 and the yellow ball number was 5.

The $540 million jackpot ranked among the top 10 in the history of the U.S. lottery and offered a single game winner the option of collecting on a onetime payout of nearly $400 million.

Prior to the July 8 game, the last jackpot winner came nearly four months before. The odds of winning the jackpot are estimated at one in 259 million.
