Get ready for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday Aug. 28 where you will see some of the greatest performances, re-experience the greatest hits from this year so far and watch stars win awards starting at 9 p.m. ET at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Watch the MTV VMAs 2016 on MTV. Contact your cable network to see which channel that is. And if you’re a super fan, MTV will began broadcasting as early as 6:15 p.m. ahead of the show so get a heads start on red carpet arrivals.

MTV will have a live stream of the event starting at 7 p.m. ET on their website.

There will also be a live stream of events taken place after the 2016 MTV VMAs has concluded on the MTV Facebook Page.

MTV VMAs 2016 Hosts

While it is not clear who the official host for this year’s MTV VMAs is, DJ Khaled will host the pre-show as stars make their appearances on the red carpet.

MTV has not announced the host for the 2016 MTV VMAs. The show has done about five shows without an official host, so don’t get your hopes up just yet.

Britney Spears will perform “Make Me,” Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande will perform “Side to Side,” Nick Jonas and Ty Dolla $ign will perform “Bacon” and Rihanna will sing ahead of accepting the MTV VMAs 2016 Vanguard Award.

Other performances will come from Future, The Chainsmokers, Kanye West and more. It is not clear if Kanye is going to rap for the crowd or give his second 2020 presidential campaign pre-speech.

Stars Presenting Awards at MTV VMAs 2016

Olympian stars Michael Phelps, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman will present awards at the MTV VMAs 2016.

Queen B hit 11 nominations this year so she is bound to win something. Her visual album “Lemonade” made the Beyhive worship her even more. Adele also hit a few nominations for the 2016 MTV VMAs, in competition with Beyoncé but there’s enough awards to go around.

This year’s hottest competition was the 2016 MTV VMAs Video of the Year with Bey’s “Formation,” Adele’s “Hello,” Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Kanye’s “Famous,” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”
