"It's a Boy!" Finally after months and months of waiting, we can finally say that the third in line to the throne has arrived. Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, must be so delighted, and the world delights with them.

His Royal Highness was safely delivered by Kate at 4:24 p.m. in St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing. The new baby will be the first Prince of Cambridge in more than 190 years, The Guardian noted. He will also be the heaviest future king to be born in recent history, BBC reports. The royal infant weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 oz., while his father Prince William only weighed 7 lbs. 1.5 oz. when he was delivered by the late Princess Diana in 1982.

"The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth," an official statement from the Kensington Palace read, as reported by The Guardian. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news."

"We could not be happier," were the words of new daddy Prince William, an official statement from the Kensington Palace read. New grandfather Prince Charles also shared the happiness with the entire royal family and the world. In a statement published by The Guardian, the Prince of Wales said he is "overjoyed" at the arrival of the royal baby.

"Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy."

Prime Minister David Cameron also imparted his well wishes for the baby and the new parents.

"Right across the country and indeed right across the Commonwealth people will be celebrating and wishing the royal couple well," Cameron told the reporters waiting at 10 Downing Street. "It's been a remarkable few years for our royal family -- a royal wedding that captured people's hearts...and now this royal birth, all from a family that have given this nation so much incredible service, and they can know that a proud nation is celebrating with a very proud and happy couple tonight."

The entire world also joined in the celebration of this momentous event.

On the Church of England's website, a special prayer for the royal baby was published.

God our Creator,

who knows each of us by name

and loves us from all eternity:

we give you thanks for new life and human love.

Bless William and Catherine

as they welcome their son into the world.

Give them patience and wisdom

to cherish and love him as he grows.

Surround the family with the light of hope and the warmth of your love today and always; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.
