West Ham United and Norwich City will face off on Tuesday in hopes of putting some distance between themselves and a relegation spot.

Both teams are currently not occupying one of the bottom three spots on the table. However, with only 25 points apiece, a loss to either side could push them back into a relegation spot; 18th place West Bromwich Albion has 23 points and could jump past either or both teams (if they tie).

Unfortunately a win does not necessarily ease either team's woes. Tenth place Swansea City has 27 points and could easily wind up one point ahead of a relegation spot if the results fall the wrong way. A win for either West Ham or Norwich only helps the team stay out of the spot; however, it does not save their respective seasons just yet.

"It is about team performance and what West Ham have shown is that when they have looked for a goalscorer or a bit of inspiration, then Kevin Nolan has come up trumps for them, and that is the type of individual he is," said Norwich manager Chris Hughton about his opponents, according to ESPN. "When you look at team selection, there is always something that can hurt you, for somebody who does not play, it is an opportunity for someone else.

"You can only play against the team you are up against, and prepare yourself for what their starting XI might be, but also have ambitions to win the game yourself."

Prediction: The teams draw 2-2.
