Boxing fans are eager to know who would be the next opponent for Filipino Senator-boxer Manny Pacquiao, now that he conquered Jessie Vargas in their fight last Saturday night at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

A lot of speculation came out after the fight when Floyd Mayweather in the ringside was seen making eye contact with Manny as he raised his arms for the win. Floyd signaled (to Manny giving thumbs up) as if he is convinced with the win of Manny. This was noticed by Pacquiao's adviser Mike Koncz.

It can be recalled that Floyd easily beat Manny in their fight in 2015. But most boxing fans were not satisfied with the result since Pacquiao was reported as having rotator cuff tear on his right shoulder in the course of the fight, thus, resulted to not performing efficiently. That's why fans want a second time.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum gave a slight hope for the possibility of the fight when he told ESPN on Monday that he is 75% sure that Floyd came to see the fight to send a message that he wants a second time.

The last two fights of Pacquiao give consideration of his being the no. 1 pound-for-pound boxer again. On Monday, he gave a joke to Filipino and foreign reporters that he is probably on the top 50 of the pound-for-pound list.

But Arum gave another speculation that Floyd and Manny treatment for each other that night showed that the previous tension between them has already gone. Also Pacquiao said that he is not sure of going back to the ring since he has some Senate duties to perform back home in the Philippines.

List of possible contenders for his next fight is as follows: Terence Crawford, Vasyl Lomachenko, Danny Garcia or Keith Thurman, according to Boxing News 24.

This list was uttered by Arum via Ring TV.
