Cameron Monaghan dropped hints via his Twitter account that his character Jerome is becoming none other than the Joker in "Gotham" season 3. Tweeting photos of him getting face prosthetics to enhance Jerome's already beaming smile, these have confirmed that Jerome is indeed coming back for season 3 even after being killed in season 2. And of course the Joker won't be the Joker without his clowns, right? Rumors are now out that it's time for Barbara to step out too, as Harley Quinn.

Movie Pilot extensively reported on Jerome's transformation and what would this mean for the new season of "Gotham." Season 3 would set a new era of villains for Gotham City with a subtitle "Mad City." Crime, terror and overall madness will run Gotham City and of course who would better lead the pack than the Joker?

Gotham producer has confirmed that Cameron Monaghan will return to "Gotham" as Jerome. The actor has wrapped up filming for his series "Shameless" and has all the time in the world to work on "Gotham." It was also rumored that Jerome was already hinting of becoming the Joker seasons ago by adapting his own sinister laugh and a lovely grin. There is no doubt that he will become him next season.

Meanwhile, Screen Rant also reported Jerome's return to "Gotham" as the Joker but with a hint that fans are earnestly waiting for. While Jerome is slowly becoming the clown prince, Barbara is also looking more and more like his sidekick/princess/partner, Harley Quinn.

Although Erin Richards, who plays Barbara in Gotham, said before that her character is not yet ready to be Harley; fans could not wait for Barbara to transform into her. Richards agrees that her character is downright crazy but not enough to lose herself to become Harley. Barbara fell off a church window and went into a coma. She woke up half remembering who she is and have developed an attachment to darkness. Another falling out of reality could happen perhaps to finally get her into the character? Joker x Harley fans just can't wait.
