"Supergirl" Season 2 is currently on a 5-6 week hiatus. Despite that, EP Andrew Kreisberg shared some details on what fans should expect in episode 9 titled 'Supergirl Lives'. Also, a quick summary of episode 8 'Medusa' is highlighted here for fans who have missed to watch it.

"Supergirl" Season 2 is currently taking a long break. According to Blasting News, the upcoming episode 9 "Supergirl Lives" which was slated to air last Monday, December 5, 2016, is postponed to air until next year Monday, January 16, 2017.

The CW decided to put the DC Comics-based series off the air for 5-6 weeks. This is to air Christmas special episodes during the 7: 00 pm central time slot and reruns.

Despite that, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg shared some details on what fans should expect in the next episode when the series returns.

Kreisberg stated via Entertainment Weekly, "The chemistry between Chris and Melissa is definitely palpable, and we're loving writing their characters together. The next episode is a big Kara/Mon-El story that we're really excited about. They're both obviously playing coy about what happened, neither admitting that they actually did kiss, so how and when that comes out is going to be fun and delicious."

For a quick summary of episode 8 "Medusa", News Everyday reported that Lena Luthor became somewhat a hero. This is after she turned her mother Lillian (Brenda Strong) to the authorities and neutralized the virus of project Medusa, which can exterminate Supergirl.

"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 9 is titled as "Supergirl Lives". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Monday, January 16, 2017, at first and exclusive on The CW.

"Supergirl" is an American superhero action-adventure drama television series developed by Ali Adler, Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Kreisberg. The storyline is based on a "DC Comics" character under the same name.
