"Dota 2" has received the 7.00 patch update and it's confusing new and veteran players of the game alike. Valve has reportedly added new heroes, a new interface and a new map with features and updates that seem to boggle experienced players into relearning it all over again. Here's what you need to know about the new "Dota 2" 7.00 patch update.

"Dota 2" 7.0 Patch Update Changes

The "Dota 2" 7.00 patch is over 6GB in size and is considered to be the biggest one after "Dota 2 Reborn." Instead of the usual balancing, nerf and upgrade update, the patch brings in visual changes to the interface and menu which gives it a fresh look although to seasoned players, it may take some time to get used to. According to the Bitbag, the new "Dota 2" UI is similar to "League of Legends."

Other upgrades brough about by the new patch is the addition of Talents. This means that instead of automatically adding upgrades to the base skills of heroes, "Dota 2" players may now add Talents to their respective Skill Tree. This unlocks when gamers reach levels 10, 15, 20 and 25 and they may choose from adding more health, attack upgrades and more which further cements their roles in the game as carry or support.

"Dota 2" players also have a Backpack which allows them to carry three extra items instead of the usual six. However, once items are in the Backpack, their uses or passive upgrades are deactivated and will only be active once they are swapped on to the proper six item slot. "Dota 2" also brings in a new hero called Monkey King, a new character which was unveiled earlier this year.

"Dota 2" 7.0 Patch Update Bugs

With the release of a patch this big, it is inevitable that the game is bound to have bugs. According to iTech Post, "Dota 2" players have been discovering bugs the more they play the game since it was released earlier this week. The outlet noted that players experienced visual bugs on their Arcana-clad heroes including Juggernaut, Terrorblade, Phantom Assassin and more. Some of the bugs include the chatbox which disables players from properly communicating with other players.
