"Deadpool" is certainly one of the most memorable movies of 2016. According to recent rumors, Hugh Jackman will appear in "Deadpool 2" alongside Ryan Reynolds. It has been confirmed that the movie will begin filming on June 2017. "Deadpool 2" is set to be released on January 12, 2018.

Jackman's Wolverine had a surprising cameo in the original movie but not in the way that movie fans expected. There have been a lot of rumors that Jackman is set to reprise his role in "Deadpool 2."

Wolverine and Deadpool are two Marvel characters that have a lot of similarities including having fast regenerating abilities and being mercenaries. It was also canon in the comic books that Deadpool or Wade Wilson actually really does love Hugh Jackman.

Movie News Guide reports that Reynolds and Jackman have expressed that they want both their characters to both appear in a movie. Furthermore, fans of the two characters have been calling to make the appearances come true since the first movie so there may be a big chance that it is going to happen in "Deadpool 2."

It was revealed in the surprise ending credits of "Deadpool" that a new character by the name of Cable is sure to be in the sequel. The appearance of Wolverine could still be arranged in "Deadpool 2" via the storyline called "Old Man Logan" where he and Deadpool will need to travel to the future in an encounter with the X-Men.

"Deadpool 2" will now be directed by David Leitch as the original director Tim Miller has left the project. The sequel will still be written by Paul Wernick and Rhet Rheese and produced by Simon Kinberg.

According to Metro, Kinberg was reported to have said that "Deadpool 2" will contain snarky comments from the Merc with a Mouth regarding existing and trending superhero movies. Fans can also expect the sequel to be at least as playful as the original in terms of comedy.
