Taken 3 officially concluded the Taken trilogy last year, and even though it did pretty well at the box office, it wasn't really received well, nor given any amazing feedbacks by anyone, be it critics or fans. The law of diminishing returns, at least in terms of the quality side of the recent film, caught up with the franchise.

But it did make money nonetheless, so fans and other movie experts are speculating if there's a chance that we are going to be seeing Taken 4 at some point in the future. But if Liam Neeson was concerned, he will tell you to flat out that there will absolutely be no sequel happening.

Neeson: Taken 4 not happening

The actor recently appeared on The Late Show to promote his upcoming movie "A Monster Calls", which is getting some very positive hype ahead of its official release. Stephen Colbert found some time to ask him regarding talks on the possibility of a Taken 4 happening. Liam Neeson made it clear that there is absolutely no chance of that, at least that's what he knows. Here's what he had to say:

"No there's not. There's only so many time your daughter can be taken. Actually, if we do have another it will be, 'Please can you take my daughter?'"

Despite him saying it in a comical tone, Liam Neeson does have a good point. The first Taken movie was met with relatively mixed receptions from critics, but action-loving fans absolutely loved it.

Not taken 4 makes sense

The problem with both Taken 2 and Taken 3 is that they both completely changed the concept of antagonist Bryan Mills having his daughter abducted. At some point, he just became a terrible father for letting this happen, instead of an excellent one for saving her. So with all things said, it makes absolute sense that Taken 4 will not happen.
