Over twenty and half years ago space telescope called Hubble Space Telescope(HST) set up on a mission to explore Space. This telescope was built by a joint team of NASA & ESA(European Space Agency). Since then it is orbiting Earth in 7.59 km/s(15.08 rev/d) & it was named in the honor of famous Astrophysicist Edwin Hubble.

After a couple of decades in space Hubble space Telescope finally able to chase down a Bright spiral galaxy named NGC 4707. This galaxy was first discovered by a British Astronomer Frederick William Herschel. He was famous for the discovery of Uranus, 7th planet of the Solar system.

It was a clear evening of April in 1789 when it was first found by Herschel with his own telescope but that time it was not so clear. Now with an advanced imaging feature of HST, NASA's scientists took some gorgeous pictures of this NGC. NGC is the Short term of,"New General Catalogue of Nebulae and Clusters of Stars." this news was first reported in NASA website on Dec.22,2016.

According to the report of ScienceDaily, NGC 4707 is situated in the constellation of Canes Venatici. In Latin dictionary 'Canes Venatici' means 'The Hunting Dogs'. Scientists are assuming that the galaxy is about 22 million light-years away from Earth.

Herschel described NGC 4707 as a "small, stellar" galaxy in his report. However, using Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) scientists classified this as a 'Spiral Galaxy', just like the milky way galaxy. A spiral galaxy is consist of central bulge & spiral arms. By describing it's overall shapes researchers told that the central bulge of this galaxy is either very small or non-existent and spiral arms are very loose and undefined.

It instead appears as a rough sprinkling of stars and bright flashes of blue on a dark canvas.The blue smudges were seen across the frame highlight regions of recent or ongoing star formation, with newborn stars glowing in bright, intense shades of cyan and turquoise.
