Caleb Johnson is the chosen one to take the prestigious title of Fox's "American Idol" Season 13.

The 23-year-old and runner-up Jena Irene kicked off Wednesday night's finale of the singing competition series with an exciting medley of Queen's "We Will Rock You," No Doubt's "I'm Just a Girl" and Bryan Adams & Tina Turner's "It's Only Love."

The highly anticipated moment came soon after, finally announcing the winner -- when the show's veteran host Ryan Seacrest held up Johnson's hand and said his name, the North Carolina rocker immediately covered up his face with his hands in complete shock. "I can't believe it. This is crazy," he said to the 7,000 screaming audience at Nokia Theater L.A. Live. "Thank you guys so much!"

Also, Irene was more than happy for her fellow contestant, as she jumped into his arms to hug and congratulate him. The 17-year-old singer from Michigan did not go home empty-handed as both top two finalists were awarded with brand new Ford Mustangs.

It was quite expected for Caleb Johnson to win the contest, because he had been a strong frontrunner from the beginning. He then sang "As Long as You Love Me," which will appear on his upcoming album due on August 12.

Johnson also performed a medley of "Love Gun" and "Shout It Out Loud" with idols of his own, '70s rock legend Kiss. Afterwards, he brought his proud bother Houston onstage, who had a Kiss-inspired makeup on his face.

Another memorable moment of the "American Idol" finale certainly was Jennifer Lopez showing off her impressive dance moves during a sultry performance of her new single "First Love," off her forthcoming album "A.K.A." She took to the stage in a purple plunging fringed leotard with panels, completing her diva look with nude fishnet tights and lace-up high heel boots. At one point, the Latin mogul flipped her hair in circles on top of the judge's table, and at the end, she sang a few bars from her hit "Jenny from the Block."

"Such a fun night on #IdolFinale #JLoFirstLoveonIdol #moretocome #JudgesRockIdol," she tweeted after the high-energy performance.

"American Idol" Season 13 contestants are scheduled to perform on the 41-show summer tour, kicking off on June 24 at Broome County Arena in Binghamton, New York.
