Columbia Pictures has unveiled three new posters for the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

The posters are actually meant to combine into one large image and feature what looks to be Spider-man's new foes. The poster on the left side features Spiderman's face shown on a screen behind what looks to be a massive robot that could be the Rhino. Spiderman's arm is in the foreground. The poster in the center shows Spiderman's back as he faces what looks to be the Goblin heading his way. Dane DeHaan is slated to play Harry Osborn, Peter Parker's best friend and the presumed Goblin. Next to him is an image of Electro on another massive screen in what could be Times Square. The image on the right showcases Electro firing at Spiderman.

In addition to releasing the triptych poster, the company unveiled an updated plot synopsis for the film.

"We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead," says the synopsis. It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp."

The company is slated to reveal the film's first trailer on Thursday to start the marketing for the May 2014 release date.
