"Stranger Things 2" is the sequel to Netflix's viral hit show that aired last year. Season 2 will reportedly air in Halloween 2017 just like "Stranger Things" did. Netflix bosses have already seen the first episode of the upcoming series and said that fans can expect it to be exciting.

Netflix's Reed Hastings and Ted Sarandos revealed in a recent interview that they've seen the first episode of "Stranger Things 2." According to Express, the two stated that it will "deliver" fans expectations and a lot of action will be happening in the second season.

The first season of "Stranger Things" was one of the most talked about series of 2016. The show is known for its 70s vibe and references for old school materials like movies, songs and more. While the finale showed the Demogorgon's demise, it did not answer some questions and it seems "Stranger Things 2" may cater to that.

"Stranger Things 2" will see the return of the original cast members including Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, Charlie Heaton and Millie Bobby Brown. GameSpot reports that the sequel will have new characters in the mix. Paul Reiser will join as an agent that will hide some of the evidence left behind in season 1. Ryder's Joyce Byers will have a potential lover in Sean Astin's character.

In "Stranger Things 2," Will will be feeling some of the trauma that he experienced in the Upside Down. As for Joyce, she will be doing her best to manage Will and her older son Jonathan. She will begin dating again in an attempt to install a father figure for her sons.

Chief Hopper will also be reeling from the events that happened in season 1. However, he will cover up the events in "Stranger Things 2." Sister and brother, Mike and Nancy will in mourning with the former for Eleven and the latter for her friend, Barb.
