Jason Momoa is getting busier as he is set to star in the film adaptation of the game series "Just Cause." The "Aquaman" actor will play Rico Rodriguez and the movie under Square Enix and Avalance Studios is currently in progress.

IGN reports that the "Just Cause" movie will be produced and directed by Brad Peyton. He and Jason Momoa have worked before in the Netflix series "Frontier. The movie's script is written by John Collee and it will be distributed under 20th Century Fox.

In the "Just Cause" series, Rico Rodriguez is the main protagonist of the games. He is a top agent and has worked under the CIA. There is no word yet how the film adaptation starring Jason Momoa will turn out. There is no official announcement yet regarding its plot but the outlet reports that Momoa's character will have a moral dilemma.

GameSpot reports that Adrian Askarieh, one of the producers of the "Just Cause" film revealed in 2015 that it will have Rico Rodriguez confront the murderers of his family. This will lead to havingJason Momoa's character going back to his birthplace in Medici in a mission to avenge his loved ones.

Furthermore, Askarieh said during that time that the "Just Cause" film will definitely be an action adventure film. It may also be inspired by "Just Cause 3" which was released in 2015 for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.

In addition to the "Just Cause" film adaptation, Square Enix will also be releasing movies based on "Tomb Raider" and "Sleeping Dogs." The movie reboot based on Lara Croft's story is set to be released next year.
