Angelina Jolie achieved another great milestone in her career. However, it is not related to any of her movies.

According to People, Angelina gave her first lecture at the London School of Economics at the Centre for Women, Peace, and Security.  The 41-year old actress focused on women's rights during her lecture. She talked about how displacement and statelessness during wars can result in increased sexual violence and other crimes against women.

The lecture attendees were the students who are currently studying the postgraduate course, Women, Peace, and Security. Moreover, Angelina has taken up the role of visiting professor at the university where she'll begin teaching the master's course from this September.

A spokesperson for LSE told People that Angeline shared what influenced her to work as a UNHCR envoy and co-found the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative. She also talked about her personal experience and then commenced a Q&A for the class.

According to Mail Online, Angelina and England's First Secretary of State William Hague co-founded the initiative in 2015. Their main aim is to spread awareness and end the stigma several women have to experience for being rape and sexual victim in war.

Angelina talked about her role last year. She stated her excitement to interact with the students and share her experience. The actress has been a supporter of the Centre for Women, Peace, and Security since it opened in 2015.

Moreover, Angelina praised the university for introducing the master's program. She hoped that other academic institutions will also follow this example. It is important that such topic must be highlighted and discussed upon soon since several women globally are becoming victims of wars.

Angelina is also working towards promoting the Time to Act initiative. Her work will focus on how to deal with the trauma and will support the children and male survivors of wars.
