Tragedy struck the Dallas area Wednesday night, when four people were killed by a crazed gunman on a shooting spree. That gunman happened to be a former male cheerleader for the Dallas Mavericks basketball team.

Erbie Bowser was a 44-year-old who was known as E-Luv and danced with the Mavs ManiAACs as recently as 2011. His outburst of violence killed four people and injured four more. It also appears that the incident was spurred by unresolved problems in Bowser's love life.

"The first shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. at a Dallas home. A mother and her 17-year-old daughter were shot and killed, Dallas Police Department Maj. Jeff Cotner said at a Thursday morning news conference. The mother's 14-year-old son and another 17-year-old girl, whom Cotner described as a family friend, were wounded," reports CBS News.

The mother is alleged to be none other than Bowser's former girlfriend, Toya Smith, 43, and her daughter, Tasmia Allen. Unfortunately, Bowser was not yet done blazing his path of destruction.

From there, Bowser traveled to the Dallas suburb of DeSoto, where his former wife Zina Till lived. Till was granted an order of protection from Bowser shortly after she filed for divorce in 2011. Upon approaching the house, the former cheerleader lobbed a grenade into the Till household, entering the premises once it detonated.

"We thought it was coming from upstairs, because the kids are always upstairs making noise," neighbor Tommy Johnson reported. "I went up and asked, 'Did y'all hear anything?' and one of my daughters said it came from outside. So, I peeped out the front and that's when I saw a bunch of officers walking down the sidewalk about 10 houses up."

Once inside, Bowser opened fire on those inside. He ended up killing two women inside the residence as well as injuring two boys, aged 11 and 13. It is unclear at this time if his ex-wife was among the two women murdered. When police arrived at the scene, Bowser pretended to be one of the victims but was soon arrested by police.

Bowser danced for the ManiAACs, a well-known Mavericks dance-squad recognized for their large size. Bowser was no exception, measuring in at 6 feet 7 inches and tipping the scales at nearly 400 pounds. Bowser also worked as a special education teacher in the Dallas area.
