After missing 19 straight games after injuring his knee on February 28 against the Washington Wizards, Warriors' superstar forward Kevin Durant is expected to return to action this Saturday when the Golden State Warriors will go up against the New Orleans Pelicans. This is according to the Warriors' announcement in a recently given statement.

This means that Kevin Durant will still be able to take in some on-court action right before the Playoffs begin, as the Golden State Warriors star is expected to play his first game in a while this Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans. According to UPI, Durant was able to participate in full-contact practices and is now cleared to play again.

The Warriors announced on their official Twitter account that Kevin Durant has been cleared to return and will play this Saturday, except for any setbacks. According to the tweet, "Kevin Durant has been cleared to return. Barring any setbacks, it is anticipated that he will play in Saturday's game."

Kevin Durant has not been able to play ever since February 28 when he suffered a sprained MCL to go along with a bone bruise in his left leg when Warriors center Zaza Pachulia accidentally fell into him in the first quarter of a game against the Washington Wizards. During that time, the Warriors immediately announced that Durant would be out indefinitely and will be re-evaluated after four weeks.

Kevin Durant started shooting around in practice again on March 18, but during that period there was still no official word from the team about a potential return at any given moment. This is very good news for the Golden State Warriors, as they are poised to make yet another run at a championship.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Warriors have officially clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference after Wednesday's win over the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors currently have three games left in the regular season.
