The Hispanic voters is considered to be the largest minority group composed of 32 million elegible voters and is followed by the Blacks who are composed by 30 million eligible voters. It is undeniable that for the past few years, the number of Hispanic and Latino voters has increased and got interested in participating in national elections.

In the previous state-side and county elections, Hispanics and Latinos were courted by the candidates specially Trump and other presidential candidates. Trump even created and launched Latinos for Trump and Black Voices for Trump hoping that these would help his 2020 reelection bid as the President in America. However, recent elections in Louisiana and Kentucky where the number of Hispanics are very significant just make it show that Republicans and Trump are not influential with the Hispanics. As a matter of fact, Trump struggles to get the votes of the Hispanics based on the recent survey conducted .

WQAD 8 reports that according to the founder of the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Bob Ontiveros that they only need to educate their fellow Hispanics to vote because they are now becoming the largest minority group in America. This means, that if Ontiveros together with his group can educate and empower his fellow Hispanic voters to register and vote, then the 2020 elections would really be very historical as the Hispanic voters will be the first time to be the largest racial and minority group.

Hispanic voters is composed of 13 percent of the total electorate in U.S. not including those who are not yet registered and the third largest voters in America are non-white. According to the chief executive officer of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEAO) Arturo Vargas that "2020 is going to be the eye of the storm for political engagement for Latinos,"

The fact remains also that since the participation of Hispanic voters in presidential election in 1996, it is very undeniable that more Hispanics are voting and some even show interest in running for a position post. Ontiveros said that it is just a matter of time and a matter of educating his fellow Hispanics to vote and show their power as the largest minority group in America. However, behind this he said that "Latinos are actually much more likely to be affected by Voter ID laws than other voters of color because many Latinos may not have the same access to the kids of IDs that are required by these states,".

Meanwhile, in the previous article of the Latin Post a recent study from the Florida Atlantic University shows that Trump struggles to get the votes of the Hispanics except for the Cubans who show a bright side to Trump.

Does this mean that Hispanics can change the 2020 elections?

The answer is Yes, because it has always been part of the Democratic and Republican Presidential candidates to court the Hispanic voters. This means that they really give value to the Latinos and Hispanics in the 2020 elections. But, Ontiveros said that it does not mean that when they court the Hispanics by translating their speech into Spanish is putting them already in an advantage. Ontiveros did not mention any name but it can be recalled that Trump runs the largest number of social media sites where his speech and campaign for 2020 elections is translated into Spanish.
